Wisconsin-based Analogix joins French company to provide drug purification products

Analogix, a maker of drug-purification devices based in Burlington, Wisconsin, has announced a partnership with French analytics company Interchim. The two companies will collaborate on products for flash chromatography and liquid chromatograpy, methods for identifying biomolecular compounds. They will bring similar production experience to the partnership and plan to expand into international markets.

Business filings serves Spanish-speaking small businesses

Business Filings, a Web site providing incorporation services to small businesses, has launched a Spanish version of its Web site. Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs can now access information about business incorporation, including forms for corporations, limited-liability companies or non-profit corporations in any state.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, there were one million Hispanic-owned businesses in 1997, the year of the most recent data from the Census Bureau. Hispanic-owned businesses grew 30 percent from 1992 to 1997, compared to 7 percent for all U.S. businesses during the same time period.

Alliant Energy announces dip in third-quarter earnings from mild weather

Alliant Energy, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, and the parent company of Wisconsin Power and Light Company, has announced third-quarter profits of $81.8 million. Income for the same quarter last year was $103.2 million. The company said mild weather probably took some $14 million to $15 million out of its net earnings, but rate increases, cut costs and lower taxes made up some of the difference.

Steinhafels furniture store selects Citrix IT tools

Citrix Systems Inc. has announced that Milwaukee-based furniture retailer Steinhafels Inc. has standardized on its application access systems. Citrix, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, makes servers that distribute applications across an enterprise and centrally manage upgrades.
