New Cape Clear president is UW business alum

Joe Voica, whose MBA and undergraduate degree were minted at the University of Wisconsin, has been named president of Cape Clear Software's North American operations, the company said on Wednesday. He has 20 years of management experience.

Cape Clear, headquartered in Massachusetts, provides "enterprise service bus" technology to a list of clients that includes the State of Wisconsin Department of Administraiton.

Though its definition is not completely agreed upon, an ESB is a way of integrating Web services, providing a standardized central hub for sending information between them. The Department of Administration has expressed great interest in further consolidating and standardizing its information technology.

Read an interview with Matt Miszewski, the state CIO.
