Merge eFilm corporate merger with Canadian firm moves ahead

Milwaukee — The all-stock merger between Merge Technologies Inc., a health-care software and services company, and Canadian firm Cedara Software Corp. will move forward with approval from Merge shareholders.

According to a statement from Merge, company officials expect the merger to be finished on June 1 after approval by Canadian courts.

Merge Technologies, which does business as Merge eFilm, is active in medical imaging. RIS/PACS products – radiology information systems and picture archiving and communication systems, respectively – are its core offerins. Cedara also makes medical imaging products across a wide range of technologies.
