Sonic Foundry releases new product line, announces partner at InfoComm

Sonic Foundry, a Madison-based rich media systems provider, made two major announcements today from Las Vegas' InfoComm 2005, the largest tradeshow and conference in the professional audiovisual industry.

The company is partnering with Vaddio, an automated camera systems provider, in order to market a fully automated and integrated audiovisual presentation system, and has also just released the Mediasite 440 Series in its line of rich media recorders.

In its new partnership, the companies will market Sonic Foundry's line of Mediasite rich media recorders with Vaddio's automated camera systems. With the combined system, customers will be able to set up rich media presentation systems in hours, instead of days.

"It lets them present the way they feel most comfortable. Because the technology is transparent to the end user, they can focus on their presentation versus worrying about the technology they're using," said James Dias, senior vice president of marketing for Sonic Foundry, in a statement.

Sonic Foundry's new addition to its Mediasite rich media line, which includes a moble Mediasite ML 440 recorder, a mountable Mediasite RL 440 recorder, and a completely new Mediasite VL 440 videoconferencing recorder, will be included as part of the line which the company will market with Vaddio's automated cameras.

The Mediasite 440 Series, which debuted at the InfoComm 2005 conference, represents the fourth generation of Mediasite recorders. Sonic Foundry's line of presentation audio recorders represent the first real-time rich media capture appliances in the industry.
