NameProtect partners with Oregon firm to boost fraud detection

Madison, Wis. - NameProtect, a Madison-based supplier of online security and brand protection solutions, announced on Wednesday it has entered a partnership with Corillian Corp., an online banking security headquartered in the state of Oregon.

The companies will jointly market the Corillian Fraud Detection System with NameProtection, streamlining and improving both companies' anti-fraud solutions. The pairing will team Fraud Detection System's techniques for spotting "phishing" scams in advance with NameProtection's daily alerts on site status.

The joint solution, currently used by more than 30 financial institutions worldwide, offers advance detection and response to phishing scams against the bank network and scans the organization Web sites to prevent hijacking of domain names. Users also have access to the NameProtection Web portal, where they can view identity theft bulletins and trends to prepare for future violations.

"With the end-to-end solution we have created through this partnership, all institutions can easily integrate a highly secure, enterprise-level phishing and fraud protection solution to protect themselves and their customers from online fraud," said Kevin Omiliak, vice president of sales and marketing for NameProtect, in a statement.
