Tommy Thompson's ID chip, California firm to use WARF's patents and more ...

Former Governor Secretary Tommy Thompson announced last week that he is planning to have a radio frequency id chip implanted in his arm that will provide access to his electronic medical records. Meanwhile over at the UW, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation announced that it has licensed California research firm Chemicon to commercialize products using WARF's stem cell patents. On another note, Madison biotech firm Platypus Technologies announced that is receiving a grant for $200,000 from the National Cancer Institute.
