Group honors UW-Madison's Stunden for IT leadership

Madison, Wis. - Ann Stunden, director of the Division of Information Technology (DOIT) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has received a 2005 award for information technology leadership from the national organization EDUCAUSE.

The organization honored Stunden for "strong and ground-breaking leadership in the information technology business since her first IT management position 37 years ago."

A co-founder and executive director of the Northern Tier Network Consortium, she also has helped make UW-Madison expertise and resources available to other system campuses through supporting the creation of shared facilities such as Learn@UW, a UW System-wide utility providing course management software for 26 campuses.

Prior to taking on her current role at UW-Madison in 2000, Stunden was at the University of Rochester, Northwestern University and Cornell University.
