Berbee Data Centers complete audit, certification

Madison, Wis. - Berbee Information Networks Corp. has completed an SAS 70 Type II Audit and a SysTrust Certification, the company announced on Monday.

The SAS 70 Type II audit and the SysTrust Certification are industry-standard accounting benchmarks, formulated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, against which service providers can report control activities and processes to customers and their auditors.

 "A SAS 70 Audit is the primary means by which a service provider can convey the validity of its internal controls and operating effectiveness," said Phil LaForge, Vice President of Berbee's Data Centers, in a news release, stating his confidence in the company's data centers in Madison and Minnesota.

Virchow, Krause and Co. completed the SAS 70 Type II independent assessment of controls over Berbee's Data Center services.  Berbee previously received a favorable SAS 70 Type I audit result in December 2004.
