Uniden selects Catalyst RFID software

MILWAUKEE — Uniden America Corp. is now using radio frequency identification (RFID) software from Milwaukee-based Catalyst International. Uniden is the world's largest manufacturer of cordless telephones.
RFID mandates set by Wal-Mart and Best Buy prompted Uniden to engage the supply chain management technology, according to Catalyst. The telephone maker is using CatalystCommand iRFID to integrate passive RFID technology into its supply chain environment.
Uniden America Corp. is the North American subsidiary of Japan-based Uniden Corp.
