Douglas Stewart Co., Mindjet form distribution partnership

Madison, Wis. - The Douglas Stewart Co., a provider of software and peripherals to the education marketplace, announced a partnership with Mindjet Corp. to distribute Mindjet's new MindManager Basic 6 and Pro 6 software applications to more than 4,500 academic resellers and 150 college stores in the United States and Canada.

The Douglas Stewart Co., based in Madison, is the largest distributor and marketer of computer products, consumer electronics and school supplies exclusively serving the education market, linking more than 185 manufacturers with more than 4,500 academic resellers in the U.S. and Canada.

Mindjet, based in California, provide software for business teams to visualize and manage information. MindManager, the company's flagship product, has sold more than 600,000 licenses worldwide, according to the company.

MindManager Basic 6 and Pro 6 are tools for graphically representing the core elements of education such as creating lectures, capturing lecture notes, managing academic research, and drafting papers and reports. MindManager Pro 6 maps can also be connected to other applications and databases; to Web services, blogs and RSS news feeds; to Microsoft Office files; and to video, audio and image files.
