Banquet will recognize tech, innovation grant awardees

Madison, Wis. - The 53 Wisconsin companies that won more than a combined $42 million in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards over the last two years will be recognized at an upcoming banquet in Madison.

The awards banquet will be preceded by an SBIR/STTR and technology transfer workshop. The workshop will focus on SBIR/STTR funding opportunities. The keynote speaker at the banquet will be Winslow Sargeant, former National Science Foundation SBIR program manager.

Both events are part of the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, a training event for high-potential firms that will be held Oct. 19-20. For more information about the symposium or to register, visit www.wisconsintechnologycouncil.com.

The 2006 Fall National SBIR Conference will be held in Milwaukee on Nov. 6-9, 2006.
