Three Wisconsin chief information officers made the Computerworld magazine's top-100 list this year. They were:
Carlton Harper, CIO of
Modine Manufacturing Co., in Racine. Modine specializes in thermal management systems such as cooling for a new soccer stadium in London and a carbon-dioxide-cooled Jeep, and has been active in fuel-cell development.
Matthew Lynch, senior vice president and CIO of
ShopKo Stores Inc., in Green Bay. ShopKo has 137 stores under that name, plus 216 Pamida stores.
Paul Mueller, vice president of technology services at
Schneider National Inc., also in Green Bay. Schneider provides trucking and logistics services and says it serves two-thirds of the Fortune 500.

The publication had a panel of 16 judges review the answers CIOs gave to questionnaires asking them about their management style, plus three references. The references included a direct manager and report, and an outside professional reference.
Computerworld said it received 466 nominations and 278 completed questionnaires.
