Catalyst International profit exceeds expectations

Milwaukee, Wis. - New sales to some prominent customers led to a new high in software sales for Catalyst International during the first quarter of 2006, the company reported Wednesday.

Specific figures were not provided, but Catalyst said it completed the quarter by exceeding expectations in license sales, services business, and overall profitability, continuing a trend in increased profitability established in the fourth quarter of 2005. The company is a provider of supply chain and warehouse management software and services.

Catalyst serves large retail, manufacturing, and wholesale warehouse operators, and much of its first quarter sales strength is attributed to new and expanded business with The Bon-Ton Stores, Jarden, Dixons, OfficeMax, Homebase, The Body Shop, and Yamaha Motor.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, Catalyst has offices or representation in the UK, Italy, Mexico, Latin America, Canada, China, and India.
