Meier joins Broadlook Technologies as COO

Milwaukee, Wis. - Broadlook Technologies, an Internet data provider, has appointed its legal counsel, Gregory Meier, as the firm's chief operations officer.

Meier brings experience in the legal, private equity, and venture capital sectors, and he will be responsible for helping the Milwaukee-based Broadlook grow through sales, marketing, and business development programs.

"I believe in Greg, and he believed in our vision five years ago when it was just two people and an idea," Donato Diorio, CEO at Broadlook, said in a release. "Greg's counsel and advice has helped Broadlook get to where it is today."

Prior to joining Broadlook, Meier served as a partner with the law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP, where he was a founding member of the firm's group that focuses on early-stage technology companies. Prior to that, he served as the chief executive officer of the Erma Ora Byrd Center for Educational Technologies, home of the NASA-sponsored "Classroom of the Future."

In addition, Meier worked as a member of Accenture's business process management, he served as board member and former president of the Wisconsin Innovation Network, and he was president of the Wisconsin Venture Network.

Meier joins Broadlook at a time when the company is moving into new markets and expanding its technology offerings with a news-search tool, a data-capture tool, and a news content aggregation product based on keywords.

"I was drawn to Broadlook because of its versatility and what I see as a clear market leadership opportunity," Meier said in a release.
