RedPrairie to acquire fleet management software firm

Waukesha, Wis. - RedPrairie Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire GEOCOMtms, a developer of fleet-management software based in Quebec City, Canada.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the acquisition is expected to close by the end of February.

RedPrairie, a developer of supply-chain software, said the combined companies will operate under the RedPrairie name, and RedPrairie's Global Transportation Group will integrate and oversee GEOCOMtms's offices in Quebec City and Atlanta, Ga.

Their fleet-management products help shippers and transportation service providers manage same-day deliveries and daily, multiple-stop fleet scheduling.
