MailFoundry claims world's fastest anti-spam filter

Green Bay, Wis. - MailFoundry, a Green Bay anti-spam solution provider, has introduced an anti-spam appliance that can handle more than 100,000 users and 20 million e-mails per day.

The product, called the series 9100 anti-spam appliance, was unveiled at this week's Interop exhibit in Las Vegas.

The series 9100 is designed to combat increasing threats from spam, phishing attacks, viruses, and botnets. It comes with MessageIQ 3.0, the company's newest anti-spam engine.

David C. Troup, CEO and Founder of MailFoundry, said in a release that the product is a departure from anti-spam installations that are built custom hardware configurations. He said that approach is expensive and makes scaling difficult.

In contrast, MailFoundry 9100 was built from the ground up with a combination of what Troup called “telco capable performance” and the ease of appliance installation and integration.

Troup said the product provides quick and powerful scaling capabilities for demanding network environments.

“As e-mail volumes increase, front line defense systems need to be flexible in their ability to scale,” he said.
