Germantown drug company hires pharma veteran James Davidson as COO

Germantown, Wis. - Cambridge Major Laboratories, a Germantown manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients, has appointed pharmaceutical executive James Davidson as its chief operating officer.

The appointment, which is part of a global expansion strategy, places Davidson in charge of the company's technical operations. During his 23 years in the industry, Davidson has worked for Pfizer's pharmaceutical sciences division and for Parke-Davis/Warner-Lambert, which was acquired by Pfizer in 2000.

With Pfizer's pharmaceutical sciences division, Davidson served as vice president of science and technology, managing groups in Michigan, Missouri, and California.

Davidson is familiar with Cambridge Major Laboratories, which is a Pfizer client. The Germantown drug development company, which employs 80 people, makes pharmaceutical products for leading drug and biotechnology companies.
