Milwaukee-based women's investment network adds more cities

Milwaukee, Wis. - Women Angels, a Milwaukee-based angel investing network, has added angel groups in Chicago and Miami and may expand to two additional cities within the next year, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The network, which invests only in women-owned companies, will host meetings via video conference in October in which companies seeking capital will make presentations to the three angel groups.

Women Angels was founded by Barbara K. Boxer, a former partner in the Milwaukee law firm Reinhart, Boerner, Van Deuren who now serves as general counsel for PDM Bridge, LLC in Eau Claire.

The network already has made investments in two Madison area companies - TrafficCast International and Stemina Biomarker Discovery - and is considering an investment in Madison's Stratatech Corp.
