TeraMedica to install clinical information product at Johns Hopkins

Milwaukee, Wis. - TeraMedica Healthcare Technology has announced that Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System in Baltimore, one of the most prestigious hospitals in the world, has installed TeraMedica's Evercore clinical information management system.

Johns Hopkins has installed the data-management system in its clinical research and radiation therapy clinics, including connections to its satellite facilities.

Jim Prekop, CEO of TeraMedica, said in a release that Johns Hopkins had many disparate systems in its radiation therapy department, and each system interpreted Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) and Non-DICOM information differently.

He said the facility needed a software program to solve data storage and transfer problems it faced in clinical research and oncology, while also providing an eventual gateway to electronic medical records across multiple campuses.
