Deadline nears for NE Wisconsin Business Plan Competition

Green Bay, Wis. - There are only a few days left for interested entrepreneurs to enter the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Competition.

Entrants must have their business plans entered by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, to be considered for the contest. Entry forms and specific entry information is available at www.thenewnorth.com by selecting “NEWREP Business Plan Contest” on the home page.

A total of $25,000 in prizes will be awarded with a top prize of $10,000. Second place will receive $6,000; third will receive $4,000; fourth will receive $3,000; and fifth will receive $2,000.

The goal of the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Competition is to encourage the preparation of business plans for start-up businesses. Local economic development organizations are offering free entrepreneurial and business plan counseling services to anyone with a viable business idea who is interested in the competition.
