Centrose secures $1.3M in capital from Milwaukee investors

Madison, Wis. - Centrose, a Madison-based drug discovery company, has announced that it raised $1.3 million in funding from a Milwaukee firm known for real estate investments, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Centrose, which has been awarded a series of grants as it pursues venture capital, will receive the funding from a pool of investors brought together by the Glendale-based Pavek Investments. Centrose will use the funding to further develop its technologies for sugar-enhanced drug discovery.

Centrose's drug improvement technologies have been licensed by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation. The company owns a broad set of patents and patent applications related to how sugars regulate drug activity in the body.
