Public transit directions site adds Madison, Milwaukee

PublicRoutes, an online maps and direction site that comes up with routes that use public transportation, has added Madison and Milwaukee to its list of supported cities.

Using a presentation similar to other mapping systems with driving directions, such as Google Maps, PublicRoutes presents directions that take some combination of buses, other public transit, driving and walking.

The system includes the metro buses in Madison and bus systems for Kenosha, Milwaukee County, Ozaukee, Belle Urban, Washington County and Waukesha.

PublicRoutes began in New York City over a year ago and now covers cities and regions in 23 states and the District of Columbia.
