San Francisco firm acquires Datakeep

Madison, Wis. - In a move designed to increase its presence in the Midwest, the San Francisco-based Access Information Management has acquired Datakeep, a Madison records-management firm.

The acquisition price was not disclosed. The transaction coincides with the retirement of original Datakeep owners Karl and Janet Wellensiek.

Thom Dahlen, who has served as manager of Datakeep, will be the branch manager of the commercial records center, which now is called Access Information Management. Jennifer Engel will lead its sales and marketing division.

Engel said the company, which offers offers storage and retrieval services and digital imaging, would maintain a staff of 14 employees.
