ITT Educational Services opens technical institute in Madison

Madison, Wis. - ITT Educational Services, based in Carmel, Ind., has opened its newest ITT Technical Institute in Madison.

The Madison institute, which will be the 98th ITT facility, will feature programs that prepare students for technology-driven business environments. Classes are expected to begin with the academic quarter that starts in June 2008.

ITT will have four schools of study - the School of Information Technology and the Schools of Electronics Technology, Drafting and Design, and Criminal Justice.

The institute has been approved by the State of Wisconsin's Education Approval Board, and is accredited for associate and bachelor degree programs by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.

Nationwide, approximately 54,000 students are enrolled in ITT Technical Institutes.

I think it's interesting to note that ITT Educational Services is a publicly traded, for-profit corporation with shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "ESI."
