IPTV service coming to NE Wisconsin

Green Bay, Wis. - Having already introduced U-Verse in metropolitan Milwaukee, AT&T has announced that it will bring the television and communications service to communities in northeastern Wisconsin.

The company said it would begin installing the IP-based television service, which includes more than 40 high-definition channels and high-speed Internet, on June 30 in parts of Appleton, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, and Oshkosh.

Scott VanderSanden, president of AT&T Wisconsin, gave partial credit to the passage of the Wisconsin Video Competition Act.

The law, enacted earlier this year, creates a statewide video service franchise process through the Department of Financial Institutions.
