API Software becomes VMWare premier partner

Hartford, Wis. — API Software (more articles) has joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner program as a premier partner, the company announced on Wednesday.

Benefits that API gains include access to VMware testing software, marketing tools, technical and marketing support, and software licenses, as well as assistance in go-to-market planning. API makes time and attendance, staffing and scheduling, payroll, human resource, productivity management, education tracking and access control software for healthcare organizations and has 500 installations in the United States.

Its software is typically run at maximum capacity for a few days each month, API noted in a press release, meaning that IT departments can use virtualization to allocate the resources the software needs without wasting those resources the rest of the month. That's in addition to the common benefits of virtualization in provisioning resources and deploying, managing and configuring applications.
