more articles) has partnered with Caringo, which provides clustered storage software. The partnership will combine TeraMedica's Evercore software for managing medical images with
Caringo's CAStor to provide a storage solution for active and archive content on clusters of commodity hardware.
"TeraMedica's Evercore software complements Caringos CAStor by enabling access to medical images and other clinical digital content in a typical hospital environment with [multiple] vendors," said Jim Prekop, President and CEO of TeraMedica, in a release.
TeraMedica's software manages storage and distribution of digital medical images across different systems in hospitals and health systesm. It gathers and stores data from imaging devices or picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) and makes them available at the point of care.
