Dairy software firm gets $100,000 tax credit

Elkhorn, Wis. — Data Specialists, Inc., will receive $100,000 in Technology Zone tax credits for an expansion project, the Department of Commerce and governor's office announced today.

The project, which will cost about $170,000, involves 36 new jobs, training, new equipment, renovations and five new offices at the firm's Elkhorn facility.

Data Specialists makes software for the dairy industry, for managing earnings, production, and distribution. The firm was started in 1975.
