Norlight Announces Online Collaboration Tools

MILWAUKEE - Norlight Telecommunications, a provider of integrated data solutions for businesses, announced their new Guardian Meeting Center service Friday. The service allows customers to meet with others over the Internet for training, Web-based meetings and other online collaborations.

Norlight's Guardian Meeting Center service combines audio conferencing with the visual benefits of Web collaboration. Using a Web-based interface, the conference host can share any application on their computer, including presentations.

The service can also be used to create on-line polls and surveys, guide participants through Web tours, synchronize live audio and data streaming and save presentations.

Users will have access to a virtual "meeting room," where they can hold large or small meetings and share documents between participants.

"One of the many advantages of Norlight's Guardian Meeting Center is the ease-of-use for participants," said Mark Wojnowiak, Guardian Meeting Center product manager. "Our service doesn't require participants to download a plug-in, which enables the host to quickly and easily set up a conference with anyone who has a phone and Internet access. If a participant doesn't have access to a computer, they can still participate in the meeting via an audio conference."

Norlight was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Brookfield, Wis.
