$60 Million Available in Advanced Tech Competition

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is soliciting proposals from all technology areas for financial assistance under FY 2004 Advanced Technology Program competition. Last year competition resulted in 2 of the 13 ATP awards being awarded to UW-Madison spin-off companies.

A public meeting will be held Friday, March 5, 2004 in Chicago, Ill at which the program will be discussed in greater detail.

This government-industry partnership aids companies in accelerating the development of emerging or enabling technologies that lead to revolutionary new products and industrial processes and services that can compete in rapidly changing world markets.

Approximately $60.7 million is available for new awards. All U.S.-owned for-profit companies and industry-led joint ventures are eligible to submit proposals by April 14, 2004. More information is available at: http://www.atp.nist.gov/atp/2004frn.htm
