Tom Olson selected as UW Foundation CIO

Tom Olson has been selected as the new chief investment officer for the University of Wisconsin Foundation, succeeding David Erickson, the foundation said Tuesday. Erickson left to become chief investment officer forAscension Health, a hospital conglomerate with home offices in St. Louis. Olson a UW-Madison alumnus has worked for the UW Foundation since 2005. He most recently served as a director of investments for the foundation. Olson spent seven years working for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, where he managed the private equity portfolio.
