API Healthcare introduces new generation of Navigator

HARTFORD, Wis. - API Healthcare, the provider of human capital management solutions to the healthcare industry, announced the general availability of Version 9.0 of its Navigator payroll and human resources system. The application streamlines human resources information management, automates manual tasks and empowers employees to manage their personal data. The latest release of the Navigator system features a user interface that has been designed to optimize workflow and enable seamless integration with other API Healthcare applications.

Labor-related costs can comprise as much as 60 percent of a hospital’s total expenditures, making effective management of human resources and payroll processes an important component of an organization’s bottom line. API claims its suite of human capital management solutions eliminates redundant data entry and interfaces to third party workforce management systems. Managers always have real-time access to current employee information—facilitating better informed decision-making and more efficient regulatory reporting.

“By moving to API Healthcare’s Navigator system, we will no longer have to create time-consuming system workarounds and will be able to significantly reduce manual processes, allowing our HR staff to work smarter and spend more time addressing employee concerns,” said Tina Caramagna, director of compensation, payroll and human resource information systems at Valley Health System in Ridgewood, N.J. “In addition, the Navigator system’s built-in flexibility and ability to accommodate an unlimited number of user-defined fields will enable us to configure the system to work with our organization’s specific requirements, both now and as our needs evolve.”
